On President’s Day 2015, the Burke Street Promise Neighborhood families were treated to a wonderful trip through time at the For the Kid’s, By George Children’s Museum. The Museum is located in the train station in Downtown Martinsburg and has many interactive exhibits. It is a hands on experience that the kids and adults really enjoy. You can learn about our own pioneer history, load a train, ride a bike, get to know the folks who built our region, and of course learn about our founding father – George Washington.

What a wonderful treasure right here in our own hometown.
As an added bonus, the Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority provided transportation to and from the school to the museum. The EPTA works tirelessly to improve public transit in our region and offers so much more than many of us realize. They are another wonderful asset to our community and all of us should be very proud to have such a great service.
